you have overstayed for 3 years better have a good excuse why you did that because you can be punished for overstaying your visa . You have to go to the exit and entry department and explain them and see if they will issue you a visa to go back or what action will they take against you as you overstayed intentionally for 3 years . Reason Why you did that ?

krista, You overstayed in China so long!!!You may be expelled out of China and forbidden to re-renter China by the Immigration office. You'd better go to the local Exit & Entry office as soon as possible.

f you have overstayed your visa and would like to remain in the country make an application, as explained above, as soon as possible and apologise for your error. If you are leaving China anyway, you can just front up at the airport or border and be dealt with there. In either case, you will probably have to pay a fine of 500 RMB a day up to a maximum of 5000 RMB though you are not necessarily denied a new visa or have further action taken. However, you could be expelled from the country and prohibited re-entry for 5 years.
