Foreign Resident Purchasing Property - Required Certified Documents

For my wife to buy a house she has been told that she needs my certified passport and marriage certificate. Can I simply bring the originals (and copies) to the Chinese Embassy for them to provide the service (or it is called nortarization here)? Is there anything else i should do.

THanks

You need to go to Chinese embassy/consulate in person for documents authentication. make sure to get these two documents attested first by your local Department of Consular Affairs. Beside the original and copy of your passport and marriage certificate, you need to fill the application form for Authentication.
