About:Chinese Embassy in Iran

Chinese Visa for UK citizen in Tehran

Hi i wish to apply for a Chinese tourist visa from the embassy in Tehran. I have a UK passport and am resident there. I have been travelling from the Uk since March so I could not apply in the UK as the visa would be invalid by the time i enter China. I hope to apply in Tehran. Is it possible? if so do i need anything additional to the application forms? how long is the process and how much will it cost?

Hi, yes, you can apply there, and you need the following documents:
1. your original passport that is valid for at least another 6 months with at least three blank visa pages.
2. Visa Application Form –V2011A and V2011B
3. Photo – Please affix two color photo on the Application Form. The photo should be recent, front view, in 48mm x33mm size without head covering.
4. your Teheran resident permit
5. ropund-way air ticket and hotel booking in China

The processing time is for 4 working days($30 for single entry visa).Express for 2-3 working days(with an additional $30 ). Rush for 1working day (with an additional $40).

Thanks Melissa but I do not have a residence permit for Tehran, i am here as a tourist, can i still apply?

Yes, you can still apply from Chinese embassy in Tehran.
