1. You need to apply for the embassy/consulate at your residing place with the following documents:Your passport, V2011A visa application form and photo.

For regular service: Visas can be obtained on the fourth business day. $140 is needed to get a single entry visa. You can request express service or rush service to get visa on the second or third day or the same day with extra $ 20 and $30 respectively.

2. The average temperature then is about 10-15 C, so you'd better take along wool sweater and thick coat.

3. Firstly, you can take a train at Beijing Railway Station to the city directly. As you wanna go to Dragon Head (Laolongtou), you can take bus no. 18 at Qianhuangdao Railway Station and get off at Yanhaidongli Station. Then you need transfer to bus no. 35 and get off at East Laolongtoulukou. After that, you can walk to Dragon Head. Or you can take a taxi directly from the train station to the Dragon Head.
