I wish to visit Hongkong for one week as a tourist.Visa needed? Thnx

You are exempted from visa to HK for 90 days at most, so you need no visa.

I can find no reference to any exemption on yr website. Also another inquiry for China from NZ u replied yes required. Has China different requirements than Hongkong?

Yes, HK and mainland China have different visa policy, you are not required visa to HK. The details can be found at https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/pdf/hongkong-visa-free.pdf.
