About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

I am getting married to a Chinese citizen in September, I have my divorce certificate and visa,

What is the procedure to submit my divorce certificate to the embassy in Toronto? I am informed that I must have divorce cert. translated into Chinese, can you direct me to an organization that is recognized by the Chinese government. How long will the process take?

Yes, all documents emanating from Canada should be accompanied with Chinese translation.
First, you need to get them notarized by a layer/greffier,then, authenticated by Ministry of Government Services or Department of consumer and corporate affairs. At last, take both the original and the translation to the Chinese Consulate-General in Toronto. Regular processing takes 4 working days.
