About:Kunming Weather

Kunming Weather Condition

Hi, we are a group of 20 Singaporean planning to visit Kunming/Shangrila on 19th October 2012. Please advice what is the temperature and weather like during this time of the year. We are all in our 50's to 60's of age ... is there anything we need to take note due to our age?

The Kunming and Shangri-la weather in Oct is mild when you could wear a long-sleeved shirt and jacket. The temperature could keep around 15C. No need to worry about the weather condition too much!

Make sure the hotel room you all are staying got heater in Shangri-La because night time temperature there can drop below 0 degree. When we visited the place few years back it was minus 2 degree. The whole tour group could not sleep because the bed and blanket was like ice. November is consider not yet Winter therefore there maybe no heater available. Bon Voyage!

Frankly, Shangri-La scenery at that time at that time of the year is sucked! Only suitable for the adventurous backpackers and those who are used to Winter weather condition. Made Lijiang you last stop. It's not worth the long journey to Shangri-La at that time of the year. Bon Voyage!
