About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

I will be teaching ESL to Chinese for one year in Hangjyou. Which type of visa should I apply for

I am receiving conflicting guidance on which visa to apply. Some say tourist (L); others say business (F). Also I am not close to a Chinese consulate so how and where do I apply. Evidently i have to personally be at the consulate?

XIE XIE NI!

Hi, Terry. Actually the best and most convenient way for you is to apply a Z visa. You should first ask your Chinese employer to get the work permit for you, then with other required documents.
