hina Visa for my Wife

Hello, I would be travelling to China next month for higher studies. My wife would be joining me after couple of months. What options do I have for getting this done?

Can she travel on a dependent Visa? Do I need to get her Visa formalities done along with me or this can be taken forward by her once I am gone by showing the Marriage certificate? What other areas are needed to be taken care of?

Hi, Aseem!

She can only travel on an independent visa, so she need to apply a Chinese L Visa for tourism at the Chinese embassy or consulate.

You need to mail her an invitation letter;

Herself needs to prepare the following documents:
1. Application Form with a recently-taken color photo glued or stapled on.
2. Valid Passport and a copy of its information page as well as copy of previous Chinese Visas(on an A-4 paper).
3. Tourist Agenda, Personal Written Statement(with details as follows: A. name of the scenic spot; B. name, address and contact number of the inviting company or person; C. name and contact number of the applicant's working unit in India).
