About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

I am an australian citizen living in italy on a 18mth tourist visa which is nearly over

we are flying air china to beijing to see our son and do some site seeing can we get a visa in italy and if so can we get it in one day

Since applying Chinese L visa in Italy needs work permit or resident permit, I am afraid that you can not apply in Italy. If you are incovenient going back to Australia, you can first visit HK (You are exempted from visa to HK), and then apply a Chinese Visa there.
