renew chinese passport in australia

Question

I have an international chinese student that needs to renew her passport. i need to know what she needs to do and what paper work she needs to do this. Do we have to make an appointment to come to brisbane as we are on the sunshine coast.

She needs to go to the consulate in person for passport renewal. Documents needed are her current passport, copies  of passport information pages, original and copy of residence permit or student visa in Australia, application form for Chinese passport (it is available at the website of the Ministry of China Foreign Affairs), 3 recent passport photo. Appointment is not required.
