philippine passport holder wants to apply tourist visa to china

Hi...I'm holding a Phillipine passport..I want to apply a tourist visa (L) to china but I am currently in Malaysia..I have a friend in Beijing and he will sponsor me all the necessary documents needed so I can visit him..My question is what are the requirements for applying a tourist visa here in Malaysia? Is there a possible way to get a visa? My friend in China wants to know what documents he will send to me so I can apply for the visa...

Hi, Jay, If you are only a visitor in Malasia, it is difficult for you to get a visa there.Because the officials may require the work permit or permanent residence. If you have one of the two documents, together with the visa application form and passport, you can get the L visa. I also hear from a friend that the officials sometimes requires invitation letter,so you can ask your friend to prepare that for you. Good luck with your visa application!

The rules for each country and for the different nationalities applying in each country vary, and they often change! It is best that you go to the China Visa issuing agency (consulate of a special office) and ask. If that is difficult for you, look for an agent for Chinese visas or a travel agent that specialises in China. You should find such travel agents near where Chinese people live.
