60day visa to China

I would like to apply for a 60 day visa to China. I am an Irish citizen living in Cairo. What do I need to bring to the embassy and how long is the process? Do I need to make an appointment? I will go to China on the 12th August 2012.

You need the following documents:
1) Valid passport(six months or above validity) with at least one blank page for visa;
2) Neatly completed application form with one recent photo on it; you need to apply two forms:(V2011a and V2011b)
3) For first-time-application of Chinese visa, return tickets or other documents related to the application should be presented upon the request of the consular officer;
4)A letter from the related Embassy in Cairo

With all the documents mentioned above, you can go to apply at the Embassy of the P.R.C in Eygpt. No appointment is needed.It usually takes four working days to process. There is also express services (charging extra money) which will allow you getting the visa on the same day or the following day.

Lastly, to remind you, the best time for you to apply is one month before your depature time,so you can apply on July 12th.

Wish you successfully getting the visa! Good luck!
