About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

I am going to be on a student visa (x). Can I travel out of China and then return back on an x visa?

After your enter China with X visa, you will change your visa into a residence permit, which works as a multi entry visa, you can enter and exit China with it during its validity.
