About:China Visa Fees

visa expired march 28

i called our consulate and the person there said i could go to jail and better leave immediately.. need to provide residence permit? pay 5000rmb? and i cannot go back china again? it will take time? how true?

1. Overstaying is against the Chinese laws and regulations, punishments such as fines or even expulsion will be made.
2. You had better go to the local Public Security Burea to pay rmb 5000. Regularlly the would not put you to jail, so you need not worry too much.
3.After paying the penality, you can exit China. Your overstay record may effect your new visa application, but that does not mean you cannot go back to China again. I heard many people with overstay record still get visas. So do not worry !
