About:Chinese Embassy in Australia

Visa or Permit for my transit in Guangzhou.

Hi. I'm soon flying to Europe through China. The overnight stay is required in Guangzhou. I would like to experience night life in this city. Do I need to apply for a visa in advance, or I will be issued with a permit by Chinese custom officer at the airport??? I hold Australian as well as EU passports. Thanks

Yes, you need to apply for a China visa in advance if you want to leave the airport during stopover. This can not be issued at the airport.

You need a G visa.
