How long will you stop at Beijing and Guangzhou? DO you plan to exit the airport during the transit?

China visa policy goes that passengers who are travelling on connected international flights with confirmed seats and transit through two or more cities in China by civil flights in no more than 24 hours shall not need to apply for a transit visa. However, permission from the frontier inspection office must be obtained.

Hi MELDAV38, you siad you will just transit Guangzhou for 4 hours and then bejing for 2hrs and will not leave the airport, so you don't need any permission from the frontier inspection office at all. Even if you changed your plan during the stop and will leave the airport, you may just apply for the permission on arrival.

Hi i will be flying mel toGuangzhou onto bejing and uk been having diffrent answers do i need a transit visa as some say yes because of the flight from guangzhou to bejing is seen as a domestic flight i will not be leaving airport and only in guangzhou for 4 hrs then bejing for 2hrs please help as only have 4 weeks until i fly
