About:Chinese Embassy in Canada

Can I apply for a Chinese visa at the Visa Centre and have it mailed back to me?

I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I will be visiting Seattle, then I will be in Vancouver for 1 day only on May 22, 2012. I will visit China on June 29, 2012. I would like to apply for a Chinese tourist visa in person while I am in Vancouver for 1 day and have it mailed back to my home in Winnipeg. Is this possible?

Another question, if I applied for the visa when I get back to Winnipeg on May 25, 2012, will that give me enough time to get my passport back so that I can leave by June 29?

If you live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, you should apply for the China visa at the China Visa Application Service Center in Toronto. You may require for mail back service, but you have to pay additional fee for that and provide a pre-paid self-addressed return envelope of Canada Post Xpresspost.

I think you can just apply for the visa in Toronto when you are back to Winnipeg on May 25. A visa process only takes 4 wroking days, and there are also express and rush services provided. I'm sure you have enough time to get the visa before your trip to China.
