You should apply for a China F business visa for this, but I'm afraid you won't be given a duration of one year.  The documents you have to prepare for the China visa application include you rpassport, completely filled visa application form affixed with a passport size photo, invitation lettter of a duly authorized Chinese unit such as Ministry of Foreign Affairs or other government department under it.
