Chinese Visa Advice

Hi - I have a UK passport and New Zealand Residency. I want to enter China from Laos overland, travel in China from May to June (2013), then go to Mongolia in July, then travel in China again from August to September. What do you think I should do? Multi-entry visa issued in NZ? Extend visas each time in China? Your advice much appreciated.
