About:China Visa Application in USA

I will apply for a China visa in person. Do I also have to pick it up in person? Can it be mailed?

I must take a day off work to travel to New York each time I visit the Embassy. Is it necessary for me to make two trips? Or can the embassy mail the visa to me?

The Visa Office does not accept visa application through mail, and they doesn't provide visa mail back service, either. However, you can sned a visa agent or a friend to submit the visa application and collect the visa on your behalf, but those who pick up visas have the responsibility to check the visas in detail.
