How can I extend my stay since my Foreign Expert Certificate cannot be renewed after 5 yrs?

I have worked in China for 5 years now and was issued a Foreign Expert Permit all this while. However, recently my application to renew the Foreign Expert Cert has been rejected because I have already worked and lived here for 5 years. I have ongoing work and my current visa expires on 1st April 12. Will switching employer work?

As I know, according to the law about employing foreigners, the foreigners working in PRC for 5 years can't continue to work again, they have to exit for 2 years, then they can return to work.

If you really want to stay in PRC, you have to find a new work in another city.
