Former Chinese citizen without old Chinese passport or canadian passport

I heard that former Chinese citizen with Canadian valid passport (without used Chinese visa attache) is required to submit original Chinese passport or old Canadian passport with used Chinese visa attached as supporting document, what if I can not find either of them? But I had visited China with a visa in 2008, problem is I can not find that old Canadian passport, urgently please advise how do I proceed?

If you can't find the old Canadian passport used for applying the previous Chinese visa, you may be regarded as a first time traveler to China.
