We stayed at the Regency Hotel in Beijing . The hotel staff set us up with a driver for the day the cost was 500 RMB. We gave him a generous tip. It was well worth it . Our drivers name was John and he spoke excellent english which is a rarity among taxi drivers in China. John picked us up at the hotel at 8:30am and returned us to the hotel around 7:30 pm. He took us to the Badalang portion of the Great Wall , the Summer Palace the underground tombs , the Forbidden City and Tienamen square and the Bird's nest.
