If you don't have marriage certificate, you may just apply for a China tourist visa to China. You have to apply for a visa for your 5 months old baby. You can apply for an addition on your passport to add your baby's name on, then you can share one passport. You may need the following documents for applying the China visa:
1. Your passport with blank pages and at least 6 months validity left before expiration. Provide your baby's birth certificate as well, since you share the same passport.
2. A truly and completely filled application form affixed with one passport-size or 2x2
colored photo, with white background, full-face front view, and no hat. You should fill and sign the form for yoru baby.
3. Invitation letter fom your BF in China a copy of your BF's Chinese national identity card.
4. Your previously used China visa in old or new passport (Only visa stickers will be
accepted.
5. copy of the emergency contact information page in your passport
