About:China Railway Map

travel from Guilin to Fenghuang and then to Le Shan

Which trains do I take to travel from Guilin or Yangshuo to go to Fenghuang ? I also want to go to Le Shan from there. Any suggestions on good trains to take ? If the journey is long I would prefer to take the night train. Thanks for your help.

Hi, it will be a difficult travel for you, I think. No direct train from Guilin or Yangshuo to Fenghuang. Take a train from Guilin to Liuzhou (about 2 hours) first and continue to take a train to Jishou (about 9 hours). Here you can take a taxi to Jishou Southern bus station to take the coach to Fenghuang. From Fenghuang to Leshan, firstly you need to take a bus from Fenghuang to Huaihua (about 3 hours). Then take a train from Huaihua to Chengdu (13-15 hours) and continue to take a train to leshan (aroud 3 hours).

The transport way James suggested is too detouring. I heard there is one tourist bus operating daily from Guilin to Fenghuang, which takes about 7hrs and costs CNY130 per person. Or, you can take a train to Huaihua or Tongren first and then take a bus to Fenghuang.
