About:Chinese Embassy in South Africa

visa and passport had been with the DBN consulate general for the past year

I applied for a 12month visa to China back in 2010 and before I could collect it I was involved in an accident. Recovery had taken too long, but finally I feel it is time for me to go again, but the problem is I do not know whether they would still have my passport with them at the DBN consulate general and whether I will have to pay for the visa that I never collected due to accident and then pay for the new one too. Please advise

I don't think China Consulate in Durban still keep your passport because you collect your passport too late, almost 2 years has passed. Please obtain a new passport, then apply for a new visa and pay for the new one.
