About:Marriage Registration in China

Prosedure of register marriage in china

I am a Malaysian and my wife is a China citizen we have been married for 6 years in Malaysia and currently holding an Malaysia marriage cert.actually we plan to go back to china on April with our 1 year old son and have our marriage register at my wife local place.so I need to know what are the prosedure and document that I need to prepare here in Malaysia.and what are the step that I need to do when we arrived in china.thank you

You may just apply for a China tourist visa from the China embassy or consulate in your place of domicile with your Malaysian passport that should has at least 6 months validity and 2 bland pages, a fully filled visa application form stuck with a passport standard photo, your marriage certificate and round-way air tickets. Does your one year old son has a passport? You also have to apply for a visa for him if his nationality is Malaysian.

For your marriage registration in China, you have to prepare the followings in Malaysia:
1. your single status certificate
2. your birth certificate
They must be which should be notarized by your local foreign affairs office and authenticated by the local China Embassy or consulate.
