Help me about getting china L visa Tourist visa?

i am from Pakistan i want to go in my summer holidays visit china please help me about getting tourist visa how i apply b,cos i don't have invitation letter from china b,cos i don't know some one in china if i make reservation hotel and ticket and go embassy can they give me visa ?
