Do I need a visa if I want to get a airport hotel for the night?

Flying Perth Western Australia to Vancouver via Guangzhou in July. Will be in Guangzhou from 16.35 until 14.00 the next day. Do I need a visa if I want to get a airport hotel for the night?

You don't need a transit visa for less than 24 hours layover at Guangzhou airport and stay at an airport hotel for the night.
