About:Tibet Travel Permit

go trekking in Tibet to Everest Base camp this year oct

I am a singapore citizhen who is interested to go trekking in Tibet to Everest Base camp this year oct. I was just back to everst base camp from Nepal. I am wondering is it more difficult to trek to EBC from tibet than Nepal ? It takes how many days to complete the trek and what is the price for two person ?
How is your advice to fly from Singapore to Chengdu or Singapore to Kathmandu ? Tks

Although you do not need a visa to enter China but you still have to get a Tibet Travel Permit which is usually need to be handled through a travel agency. It is a bit farther to fly via Chengdu but I still suggest this. If you go to Kathmandu first, it is more complicated to arrange the permit. It is about 600km from Lhasa to the camp, need to hire van and it takes two days to get there.
