If you are going to apply for China visa for the first time, you'd better follow what they required. Or, you can find others for help if there is one who will sponsor your trip to China.

hi bing! that's also my worry before because i just resigned from work. but i got my visa already..by the way what is your purpose in going to china for sightseeing only. me i provide all the requirements listed without sss contributions, itr..but you have work before? you can provide the certificate of employment if they will ask you, provide your nbi, sss id, hotel voucher, plane ticket and bank certificate..and also how to answer their question properly when you submit your application. much better to appy in person ..i'm just sharing you my experience but case to case basis only..

You don't need to provide an employment certificate, company ID, SSS ID and contributions, TIN ID and latest ITR if you are not an employed person, you have to provide the financial certificate with at least 50000 pesos per person to prove that you can burden the expense for travelling in China. The round-trip flight tickets and hotel booking are also required. Then you have a great chance to get a tourist visa to China.
