About:Chinese Embassy in France

I'm a Norwegian/Swedish student in Paris. A copy of valid French visa/French Residence Permition...

is demanded to apply for a visa. I don't have any of those (I usually live in Sweden, this is an exchange year with my university). I'm going to China with my french school for two weeks to visit and work with students in a school in Shanghai. Is it possible to send papers from school proving that I'm studying here for one year?! Or do I need to get a French Residence Permition (too time consuming I think - I'm leaving to Shanghai 30 Mars)?
Or should I send my application for a visa to Sweden instead?
What do you recommend?

I'm a little puzzled by you, I state your meaning: you hold dual nationality (Norway and Sweden) and usually live in Sweden, now you study in Paris for 1 year as an exchange student, but you don't hold a copy of valid French visa/French Residence permit. Am I right?

If you can get a paper from school to prove that you are studying here for one year, you don't need to get a French Residence Permit. You can apply for a China visa in Paris
