Living in France, closest Chinese Embassy is Bern - Irish passport holder

Hello
Travelling to China in May, does the Bern consulate office process Chinese Visas for other nationalities. Can I visit and make an appointment? I am aware of documents I need.

China embassy in Bern processes China visa application for other nationlities, you don't need to make an appointment, you can visit the embassy and submit visa application directly. The required documents:
1. your Irish passport and photocopy of data pages
2. fill in visa application form V.2011A and V.2011B
3. one passport photo taken in the recent 6 months
4. the round-trip flight tickets and hotel booking if you go to China for sightseeing
5. The French residence permit (original and copy)
6. if you work in Switzerland, the Swiss work permit and photocopy are also required.
