how to see the tree gorges dam?

going from xian, want to visit Xiling Gorge, and see the three Gorges dam, is worth it to take the cruise for 3 or 4 days, and why? Visiting china from May.01 to May 16

I think it is worth taking part in a Yangtze Cruise to visit the three gorges - Xiling Girge, Wugorge, Qutang Gorge as well as the three gorges dam.  I just made such a trip in May of last year, and I'm sure you will have an impresssive experience.
