Can I get L visa if one of my known friend of China invite me in Chinese language and send me ?

I voluntary retired from airlines job of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Ltd and visited many countries. Now I intend to visit China. One of my Chinese friend intend to send invitation letter in Chinese to visit China. So can I get China L visa with this letter ?

I think so, and you also have to ask your Chinese friend to provide you copy of his/her Chinese Identification Card.
