extension for china visa for my philipino dad

Question

my dad is a philipino but i'm a malaysian citizen. i would like to know that is it possible that my dad apply china visa to extend his stay and work in china? i'm mix philipino but i really want to know the price and how long does it takes to apply a china visa extension because his visa will be expired  on end of this month.

Would you please clarify what type of China visa are your Dad holding now? If he just stay in China with a China family visit L visa, then it's impossible for him to apply for a China work visa in China.
