I am trying to get to Yancheng from Linfen.

I am trying to get to Yancheng from Linfen. Is there a way to get there by bus or train?

Neither direct buses nor trains are operating between the two cities. By train, you are suggested to make a transfer at Zhengzhou or Xuzhou. For the train timetables and costs, u can search respectively on the web.
