Criminal Convictions

I had a conviction for impaired driving in Canada. Would that prevent me from getting a visitors visa to China?

It won't prevent you from getting a visitor's visa to China, don't declare that you have a criminal record on the visa application, then everything is ok, if you declare that you have a criminal record, maybe your application will be denied.
