can i take bicycle as baggage in the train?

Question

We want to travel with our bicycles in China this summer. Can we take the bicycles in the train when we want to travel from Guilin to Kunming and from Kunming to Guangzhou? We are with 4 persons and 4 bicycles

Usually, each passenger could take 20 kg (44 pounds) baggage for free on the train and the total length of each item cannot exceed 160 cm. So, if the bicycle is a folding one, it could be packed and taken on the train. Otherwise, you would better take it as checked-in luggage.
