About:China Embassy in Thailand

2 questions for a non-Thai resident to apply for a visa for China.

Hello,

- I plan on coming to Chiang Mai in 2 week's time to apply for a 3-month, single entry "F" visa for China. Is this possible, givent that I will be in Thailand as a tourist and not a resident?

- Having dual citizenship, is it possible to enter Thailand using one passport, and then applying for my visa at the Chinese consulate with my other passport? Or can I only apply for the visa using the passport that I used to enter the country and has the entry stamp on it?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer these questions!

I'm afraid that your applicaton will be denied because you will be in Thailand as a tourist and not a resident. Generally speaking,it is easy for applicants of developed countries to apply for a single entry tourist visa in Thailand when they are in Thailand for holidays. However, you apply for F visa. You can try your luck! Having dual citizenship, you can't apply for China visa with the other passport if you enter Thailand by using one passport. You can only apply for the visa using the passport that you used to enter Thailand and has the entry stamp on it.
