About:China Train

train from Hangzhou to shanghai after midnight

Hi, need to catch a train to shanghai straight after arrival in Hangzhou at 23.40. please advise which station to take and how to go about it. Thank you

You could take train 2002 from Hangzhou South Railway Station; the train departs at 01:49am and reaches Shanghai South Railway Station at 04:18am. Why don't you stay one night at Hangzhou? In the early morning, there are G trains from Hangzhou to Shanghai Hongqiao.
