Is it necessary to go to the PSB to cancel my residence visa

I lived in China last year and have a residence visa in my passport that will expire in 3 weeks. Now I am back in the US. Is it necessary to go to the PSB in Shenzhen to cancel the visa, or can I cancel it in the US simply by applying for a business visa?

There is no need for you to go to the PSB in Shenzhen to cancel the visa, you can cancel it in the US simply by applying for a business visa.
