The Great Wall of China was built in a long front line and there is remains of wall in nine province/cities in China. So, it is not easy to tell the landform around the Great Wall. It is Gobi and desert around it in Qinghai, Xinjiang and partly Gansu, Loess Plateau in Shaanxi, Shanxi area, on the mountain ridge in Beijing and Northeast China.
