f visa renovation in beijing

I have a F Visa for 6 months double entry. Anyone knows if I have to really leave the country in order to get my other three months, or can  I change this in Beijing? Thanks in advance

Yes, you need to leave Mainland China to get another duration of stay per entry. Can you tell me how many days are you permitted to stay in China? Duration of Each Stay XXX Days After Entry. If you want to change it in Beijing, you have to apply for visa extension, for example, you are permitted to stay in China for 90 days after entry, when the 90 days will be up, you have to go to the exit-Entry Administrative Department of Beijing Public Security Bureau to apply for another 090 days extension of stay.
