chinese L visa extension

Hi
I am from Yaman
may i Extend my L visa in China mainland or can I go to Hong Kong to apply for it!

You can go to the local Exit-Entry Administrative Bureau of Public Security Bureau to apply for L visa extension. If it is denied, you can go to Hong Kong to apply for a new visa.
