I have a French passport. What visa do I need to go to China

I have a French passport. I would like to fly in by Air China to Beijing for 3 days to see the Great Wall and then take a train to Hong Kong to visit my son. Then I will fly back to the UK where I live. Is this possible and what visa would I need?

You need to apply for a China tourist visa for the 3 days in Beijing, you don't need a visa to Hong Kong. It is ok for your travel itinerary: Beijing-Beijing-Hong Kong-UK
