About:Detian Waterfall

Visting the falls, accomodation and Longsheng rice terrace

Hi Robert Davis,

I will be travelling to Nanning on the 27th of January. I plan to travel to the Detian Falls on the 28th. How much is the accomodation near by the falls per person per night roughly? Also how long do you think it is necessary to stay there to get the most of out it?

I ask this as I only have 6 days in Nanning and also want to visit the rice terraces in Longsheng. Is travel between these two destinations easy enough?

Any advice would be obliged,

There are hostels and inns nearby the waterfall, cheap but can not offer good conditions. Suggest you stay at Daxin County. There are budge hotel, about 200-300RMB, or better ones, 300-600RMB. Stay there one night is enough. The rice terrace is not good looking in Jan. It is not the best time. It is closer to go there from Guilin/Yangshuo.

Hi Kevin,

I'm travelling in the south of China in January with a friend, and I'll be in Nanning on the 27th of January. Like you, I would like to go to the Detian waterfalls on the 28th. We will stay on a hostel in Nanning, but I hope we will find some buses to go to Detian and to come back the same day.

We are going to Guilin/Yangshuo at the end of January.
