About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

I am a NZ citizen, I am married to a Chinese girl, currently on a visitor visa....

What is the best way to apply for a working visa? Apply it through the inlaw's company? Does the company need to have the certification to employ foreigners? Or through wife as a Chinese status is more easier?
Can I also apply multiple entries just like my current visitors visa..

You have to apply for China work visa through the company which employs you. If you apply China visa through your wife, you can only get a long-term visa or residence permit to live in China, but the visa or residence permit doesn't entitle you to work in China. Once you get a work visa, hold it to enter China, you have to apply for residence permit at local public security bureau within 30 days after entry. The residence permit can be used as a multiple entry visa during its validity.
