Chinese Visa For My wife

Hi I am an Indian Staying in china with a "Z" visa. I want my wife to come to china, please guide me for the visa formalities and from what date chinese visa office close for chinese new year holiday.

You need to obtain an official invitation letter from Foreign Affairs Office for your wife, you can ask your employer to do it for you. Besides the invitation letter, the copy of your passport, Z visa, work permit and Chinese residence permit are also required for your wife's application. The marriage license can prove the relationship, it is a necessary document.

The visa office will be closed on Jan 2, 2012 for New Year's Day, Jan 23 - 25, 2012 for Chinese Spring Festival.

Thank you for your kind reply peter, apart from the passport, Z visa, work permit and Chinese residence permit along with my marriage certificate and visa application form is there anything else like medical or any other document to be furnished in India, also how long will it take for her visa, will it be a 0 entry visa or a multiple entry visa issued to her from India.

Apart from the documents mentioned by Peter, your wife also needs to provide the followings to apply for the visa:
1. applicant’s passport which has more than 6 months left before it expires from the date of application and sufficient blank visa pages (18 months and more left if intended stay in China is more than one year).
2. Covering letter from applicant.
3. Physical Examination Record
4. Photocopy of the personal data page of applicant's passport.
5. Photocopy of Applicants Educational qualification or Professional qualification
6. Covering letter or introduction letter of Chinese company, following things to be mentioned on the covering letter.
(1) Nature or Kind of business of the company
(2) Number of foreign Employee in the company
(3) Number of Indian Employee in the company
It usually takes 4 working days to process a visa. The visa to be issued should be a single-entry one. Upon arrival in China within 30 days, your wife should go to local PSB to change it to a temporary resident permit. Just as what you have done in China. The temporary resident permit functions as a multiple-entry visa.
